Chuckwagon Stew Recipe

Ingredients

Beef cubes. (5 cups)

Can tomatoes

Chopped potatoes

Chopped carrots

Directions

  1. Coat beef in a mixture of flour, paprika, 1 tsp. chili powder and salt.
  2. Brown in hot fat in a large Dutch oven.
  3. Add onion and garlic and cook until soft.
  4. Then add tomatoes, chili powder, cinnamon, cloves and peppers.
  5. Cover and simmer 2 hrs.
  6. Add potatoes and carrots and cook until vegetables are done, about 45 mins.
